How to record an IEP meeting

Many families find it helpful to record IEP meetings, but sometimes schools are hesitant. Here’s how to record a meeting without burning bridges.

To be clear, while some families have been told they can’t record a BPS IEP meeting, we have never seen a written BPS policy that says this is true. Recording an IEP meeting can be a great way to preserve what actually happened in the meeting without relying on notes.
